Press Release, 1 September 2015

The Innovation and Intellectual Property Programme (IAKP) of the South Centre is Renamed as Development, Innovation and Intellectual Property Programme

The South Centre has the pleasure to announce that the Innovation and Access to Knowledge Programme (IAKP) will henceforth be known as the “Development, Innovation and Intellectual Property Programme” (DIIP).

This change has been made to better reflect the mission of the programme, which is to build – through research, policy advice and training – the capacity of developing countries and least-developed countries (LDCs) to integrate the development dimension into their innovation and intellectual property (IP) policies, norms and regulations and to expand domestic policy space to do so; as well as enhance the coordination, exchange of information and cooperation among developing countries.
