A panel discussion on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Right to Development and the launch of the new book “India’s Approach to Development Cooperation” edited by Sachin Chaturvedi and Anthea Mulakala

Objective: This event marks the launch of the new book “India’s Approach to Development Cooperation” edited by Sachin Chaturvedi and Anthea Mulakala. This book traces and analyses the evolution of Indian development cooperation. It highlights the significance of the Indian experiences, both to global development and as an effective tool of Indian foreign policy.

The discussion seeks to increase awareness of the role and value of the right to development as an inalienable and independent human right by virtue of which all human rights can be fully realized and all people can enjoy economic, social, cultural, and political rights, and the role that South-South cooperation plays in advancing the Right to Development in the South, with a particular focus on the Indian experience with South-South cooperation.
